If my power steering pump didn't leak it'd still have my original one

Yeah, 2002 Z-28 conv. I've noticed that the flicker/dim and the gauge will show a drop in charge sometimes when I blip the throttle. Been a little concerned about the alternator too, or maybe a slipping belt. 40,000 miles.

I think that it is an Energizer. It keeps going, and going, and going....

55K, original factory alternator, 3rd battery. What does everyone recommend for a replacement alternator, stick with GM or is there an affordable/better aftermarket brand?

AS far as alternators go if you don't have a huge stereo I would just get one from advanced or the zone that has a lifetime warrenty so if it craps again it's free.

Stock one went out around 32k. Bought a replacement from Advanced, that went out just a couple of weeks ago around 68k. We'll see how the next one works. Oh I've been through 4 batteries as well.

Over 145K miles and nothing has failed on my 2001 Camaro SS ... well, maybe the battery but that could have been due to the U/D pulley not charging well. Alt is still running very strong.

67K miles, factory alternator is still fine.

Factory battery bloated/bulged out quite a bit on all sides, replaced with Optima red top gel.

Got my car at 85k, alternator looks stock, has 120,000 on it now with no problems. Same battery since 85k too, but I think it's a replacement.

Bought my car w/ 47k on it in November 2005. Not sure if it was the origional or not. My dash lights flicker like a motha, but I have an UD pulley, oddesey pc680 mini battery, and my battery wires are due to be replaced because the previous owner crashed and I think his battery leaked on them

Bought my 2001 SS in March 05 with 27,000 miles. The car has 37,000 now, I replaced the battery when winter came around. Not that the battery was bad, I just didnt know how long it had been in the car when I got it. So I went with a red top Optima battery. Awesome battery!!

Mine died this past week. 55,940 miles to be exact and the one on my LT1 has 116,000 miles on . I replaced with a rebuilt autozone one. This has about 100 miles on it with a lifetime warranty. I just hope this one last even though to install one only took me a hour taking my time.
