We shouldn't dismiss the gains until the product is released. Let the numbers speak for themselves, then either go out and purchase one or call bs on it after that.
I'm all for new technology. I'm surprised no one has figured out how to make the intake flow as much to match the heads.
Until then lets keep our fingers crossed.

Re: Has anyone heard about the new intake manifolds from Vararam and Cartek? +50HP ???
*UPDATE*
-The prototype intake picked up about 10rwhp by the peak...
-Lost 10fttq at peak...
-Looks great above 6k
-Looks pretty nice above 5k
-I might be able to post a dynosheet let me see what I can do
Conclusion
-Intake would probably help a big inch motor especially one spending most of it time above 6k
-Best aftermarket intake #'s we have seen so far
-Will suggest to manufacturer that they go with a longer runners than currently offered to help the performance above 4K.
-I deem the dynoing as a success, but the intake needs another round of revision to really help most of the stock cube guys.

yeah, the whole deal with the reverse split is it is designed for the ls1 and ls6 intakes. With a better intake, you will probably see a better gain on standard split cams with smaller durations. All the good split cams so far have some helatious lift and duration.

I'm sorry Fenris, I meant they are the best gains we have seen so far in Chicago. We're not satisfied with the gains, so hopefully we get another one with revised runners and test it on the same mule again.

On a Heads, cam, LS6 intake, headers, A4 that does 400rwhp with with the aforementioned LS6 intake.
I don't recall the current runner length but not much bigger than stock, but the runners are tapered so that helped the numbers I think.
This intake is a three piece, so the runners can be swapped out. I'm not sure how good the turnaround will be but I'll post once I know when we can get another one for testing.
I might be able to post the dynosheet in a few hours.
