Default Pics and Pricing for TSP 85mm Induction Lids!

Here are the pics of our new 85mm induction lids. As you can see, these will slide right over the 85mm MAF, so you won't have to use the rubber hose to connect the lid to the MAF. It makes for a much cleaner look! We received 10 of these in black yesterday, but they are currently reserved for customers. Once we contact all of the customers on the 85mm list, we will then start selling the others. We hope to receive another shipment of 85mm lids next week.

1. Black 85mm Lid
2. Black 85mm Lid

We will only offer them in black for right now. We do hope to have carbon fiber ones available at a later date. We are currently working on getting the finish of the carbon fiber lids to where we're satisfied with them. The black lids will be $119 through Friday, April 11th. Regular price will be $139. You can also add an SLP 85mm MAF for $154.95, SLP smooth bellows for $49.95, K&N filter for $52.99, Holley Powershot filter for $44.99, or an Advanced Flow Engineering filter for $44.99. A complete induction package with an AFE or Powershot filter, 85mm induction lid, SLP 85mm MAF, and SLP smooth bellows will be $349.99. It will be $354.99 if you want a K&N filter with the package. AFE is the same company that manufactures the Powershot filters, and they are excellent quality! I will have pics up later today of one installed on my SS with one of our clear lids. The rubber on the AFE filter is red, and the gauze of the filter is yellow. It looks pretty trick! It does not require a gasket on the lid for proper sealing like the K&N does. Like all of the other filters, it does come pre-oiled.

You can e-mail Brian at brian@texas-speed.com if you would like to get in on this deal. He is in charge of all of the lists for our induction lids. The package pricing will also be good through Friday, April 11th.

Thanks!

Trevor

I have a question for ya; I have a funny feeling that I already know the answer, though...

Is it possible to get one of the 85mm lids w/out the hole for the IAT sensor?? The MAF that I am going to run (factory '01 Z06) has a built-in IAT sensor, and I just received my adapter harness to connect to the factory F-car leads to the LS6 MAF (read: "Y" shaped connector that accepts the 3-pin F-car MAF plug and the 2-pin F-car IAT plug and then connects to the 5-pin LS6 MAF). In other words, since I am using the IAT that is integral to the MAF, I don't plan on running the factory F-car IAT sensor; therefore, I don't need the hole in the lid for the sensor.

Am I making sense here?? Also, have you gotten a chance to dyno the 85mm TSP lid against the 75mm TSP lid?? Just wondering... thanks...

Wait a minute,,,you mean to tell me that the Air Temp sensor in my lid is redundant if I have a SLP 85mm Mass Air? I have it hooked up right now. You are saying I could un-hook with no probems.
If so, I think I'll be cangeing my order to a 85mm Lid Trevor.

Besides the SLP maf these lids will also work fine with the descreened Z06 Maf right?

Thanks,

A 85mm Maf with a 5 pin connector has a built in air-temp sensor... Stock 75mm Maf only has a 3 pin connector...

SLP 85mm Maf is a Z06 Maf...

To use a 85mm on an f-body you have to have a 5 to 3 pin connector which they come with, so you still need the IAT sensor on an F-body.

Also I will be purchasing one of these soon and comparing on dyno in a similar fashion like I did with my SLP Lid Vs. Speedtek lid, you can find results of that on my website in sig.

I hope to get some gains out of this 85mm TSP version

I am assuming the GMS z06 conversion MAF also works

I have a Pace Z06 85mm Maf on my F-body...
I'm not using the F-body air-temp sensor...
I'm using the air-temp sensor built into the Z06 Maf...
My IAT connector plugs into the Pace wiring harness...

Bad 00 SS - We have not released the chrome finish induction lids because neither us nor the manufacturer are happy with the finish. It's not holding up too well, so it scratches easily. So, until we can get a more durable finish, the chrome lids will not be offered.

(A)SS WHIPER - No, we do not have dyno numbers on the complete induction package just yet. Our chassis dyno should be in the ground and running in the next 2 weeks, so we will start testing various combinations at that point.

If you are using a MAF like the SLP unit that uses a 5-pin to 3-pin connector, then you'll still need your IAT sensor, as stated from someone else above. The first two batches of 85mm lids have already been manufatured and drilled for an IAT hole, so we will not have any 85mm lids without an IAT hole for a few weeks. However, we will have the lids in black and carbon fiber for those of you that are wanting a little more "bling" under the hood. The carbon fiber 85mm lids will have an intro special of $139, and they will have a regular price of $159. I will post up next week when the special will end on the carbon fiber 85mm lids.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks!

Trevor
