Default Side exhaust?

Has anyone ever put side exhaust like on the old corvettes on a camaro? Would there be enough ground clearance? Who sells them? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Confused]" src="images/icons/confused.gif" /> <img border="0" title="" alt="[Eek!]" src="gr_eek2.gif" />

There is one guy I know of on here that did it. I can't remember who, but it exited near the rear tires. I have debated doing this with my true duals.

I think that if you used the stock camaro tailpipes and exited them right before the rear tires on both sides that would be pretty cool looking and something nobody else really has, it would also look even more badass if the tips were polished or chromed. Just my thoughts on the topic.

Onyx LS1's 427 beast:

<img src="https://ls1tech.com/wheelsup/617low3.jpg" alt=" - " />
<img src="https://ls1tech.com/wheelsup/Justin2.jpg" alt=" - " />

i had the same setup. The clearence is a big factor. I would not recommend it for a daily driver.

i had my car at stock ride height and it still didnt have enough clearence. I believe onyx's in the pic is also adj. to stock ride height.

it was sure great when i had it though <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

I've liked this idea but a lot of folks seem to
think it's retro-ghetto. Not too many side pipes
makers out there, and the prospect of burning
your calf every time you step out puts some
people off <img border="0" title="" alt="[Razz]" src="gr_images/icons/tongue.gif" /> too. Dynomax still sells 'em,
the kind with the chrome perforated heat shield.

Make a custom set that has a heat shield that
looks like a ground effects skirt, but has a port
right by the back wheel? I've seen either a photo
or a Photoshop of that, not bad.

Nothing like 4' of extra chrome noise pipe on
the outside, though, to say "Look at me! I'm
one subtle MF!"

I have the Dyno Max sidepipes if you are interested in them. They were never put on my car and have only been takin out of the box once just to see if all the parts were there. They are chrome with the Heat sheild that goes over the piping to prevent alot of heat. I've been looking to get rid of them and am going to put them on Ebay if I can't sell them. If interested I want $200 OBO for everything, Send an E mail at PLYBOY1917@aol.com

sent you an email on the pipes...thanks for the input and those sweet pics. The side exhaust I was thinking of would run full length along the door and dump at the rear tire any pics out there like that

Just an FYI if you wont be able to run subframe connectors if you try and run that exhaust setup. Just in case you want that mod in the future.
