Default ls6 intake install coolant pipe and plug?

I am looking at the ls1howto on installing this ls6 intake and it says you need 1x front coolant pipe #12568478 and 2x rear coolant plugs #12562788. I need to know exactly what these are these for, where do they go, where do i get them? I went to advanced auto and they couldnt find anything for em in thier pc. That is pretty much the only part i dont get, everything else is take off and put back on.

It is coolant tubes that go in front and behind the intake instead of underneath. You would see why if you saw an LS1 and an LS6 intake side by side.

SLP sells them, and you can get them from any dealership as well. There are probably a handful of sponsors on here that have them also. Very common pieces.

I was only able to find the crossover in the whole area when I was looking for one .
I took my original coolant tube cut it in three pieces flattened them with a hammer , rolled it up a little and had an old plumbing dude I know use some special sodder and had him braise the three different parts for me . I have not had any problems since this was done about a year ago and I do check my fluids on a regular basis .
The bad thing is some people who have done this have developed a problem with them leaking . It is kind of easy to tell if it is leaking in the front but the back two plugs can not be seen unless you remove the intake . Also if they do start leaking you willl have to remove the intake and do it all again .

Sounds like alot of BS to go through for it. Definately would suck if something on the back leaked too!

picture the shape of the letter "I"...that's the LS1 piping. That "I" gets yanked out. The plugs go in place of the top two corners in the back of the intake. The new crossover pipe replaces the bottom "_" part of the "I". The final product will look like ** instead of "I".

you're welcome for the thoroughly confusing explanation

alright here we go...the attachment is "slightly" less confusing.

that whole "picture" makes up the LS1 coolant line. the two red dots are the coolant plugs. the red line at the bottom is the crossover. the stuff in black will get in the way of the bottom of LS6 intake.

It is literally called the coolant lines for a 2002 LS1 motor.

I just ground down the ridges on the bottom of the manifold so I could keep my coolant lines. Worked fine for me.

http://www.texas-speed.com/shop/item...d=242&catid=12 you need that it comes with the crossover and plugs it will be verrrryyy obviouse how these go in when you get the intake off the crossover goes in the front and the two plugs in the back. I was confused as to how this worked at first to but one the intakes off and you see the old setup its very obvious. and dont break the oil pressure sending unit

there on ebay.. the "plugs" aren't plugs. They are flanges without holes. the ls6 front cross over has a single discharge tube pointing more or less front . the new ls7 tube points straight front.

What would be a good search term on ebay to find em. I would rather not spend $45 on them. Spending almost $400 for 10hp isnt that great of a deal LOL

Instead of 2 plugs on the rear, install another cross-over tube on the rear, and connected it to a hose and merge this hose with the front hose (using a Y), so that the front and rear both drain out to the radiator neck (bypass the TB).
