Bassani makes a TD over axle in both stainless and aluminized steel like stated, its into 1 muffler, but I think dyno tests have proven is doesn't make or lose power with the 2 in 1 muffler. Speed Inc also does them in house I believe.

The TD setup would increase you scavenging, decrease backpressue, usually give you more horsepower and definitely more torque. You would only stand to gain, but I dont know how noticeable it would be.

i was wondering the same thing. 2.5 just for clearance and probably more room for over the axle. but then i saw some people did 3" over the axle, plus there is a BMR kit that makes more room for 3" over the axle. I am doing this once, i am going 3". Why think about it when 3" is better. i guess if you stay stock 2.5 is more than enough.

3 inch gives you 6 inches of exhaust total which is a ton. It can be a little over kill for engines that aren't too high strung, and might lose some power down low cause of it but it definitely wont hurt you on the big end. I went 3" and don't regret it a bit.

I honestly doubt its much, I can't really say cause I went from full stock exhaust to LT's and dual 3inch, and it definitely picked up power over that. In the higher rpms it wont hurt having that extra inch. Either way, you should be picking up more hp and much more tq from a TD setup compared to a ypipe.

I'm looking into a custom TD setup and flowmaster sells a X pipe kit I could use then all I need would be the flange to connect to the headers, and some mufflers. I'm having a hard time deciding what mufflers I would like though.

I'm running Pacesetter headers to TSP's TD with bullets, under axle with Mecham tips. I flipped the fuel line bracked to get some extra clearance. You can lay a coke can on its side under mine @ its lowest point.

I want a really deep exhaust note...I have a really raspy sound right now and I hate it! So what is a good true dual set up that will give me a good deep sound, I will also be going all the way out over the axle with this set up. Clearance is crucial so I think I will have to go with 2.5".
