According to LS1Sounds.com:

"There are basically two different dual exhaust setups that are available, the difference being the style of crossover pipe used. A crossover pipe will produce more power and better sound than not using one! In a nutshell, the X-pipe will give you better horsepower and torque and the H-pipe will give you better sound"

I personally have no crossover pipe due to having a custom set-up and not having the extra cash to have a crossover installed at the time. I can tell a slight decrease in torque, but not a whole lot. It still sounds very good though IMO, however just from what I've read online I will have a crossover pipe installed later on to create a "H". I am interested to see if I can tell a difference.

If you go without a H or X pipe you will lose horse power .... the scavaging effect of the H or X pipe helps the exhaust flow ..

Spintech sportsman street xl mufflers 3331xl

ok here is the scoop, I built this exhaust using the summit x pipe kit, add an h-pipe, and about a million random bends i bought in a brown box off ebay. I decided to keep the mufflers in the stock location. If i ran these before the axle, the would scrape on everything. They are big mufflers.

Cabin noise is MUCH nicer now than it was. I had single chambers dumped at the rear axle and I couldn't think straight with them there. I don't know what you mean by the mufflers resonating off each other? they don't move or rattle. I got the idea from this link: http://www.off-road.com/trucks4x4/ar....jsp?id=198878

buddy did his like that welded together and it was just a lil vibration in the truck. its like the waves from the cases were making noises.
repositioned the mufflers and the noise went away.
trick setup, though.
ive seen them side by side back there, but never stacked.

Keep em coming guys. I like some of them, and others look a bit too rushed to me, if you know what I mean. I'd like to see what else is out there.

Just got mine installed a few weeks ago...

Hooker Longtubes, Magnaflow Cats, Flowtech X-Pipe, Flowmaster Single Chambers

The setup is currently over both sides of the axle

Gound clearance in the fourth picture looks terrible but I really have almost a full soda can

No sound clips yet but they will come

Nice set-up man. Stainless pipes in there too? I'd like to hear this. I have the same stuff sitting in boxes waiting to go on her.

I had no idea the pipes were going to be stainless. I ended up ordering a mild steel crossover so it looks a little odd. I'll get some sound clips up soon.

Actually it was a special deal with the Hooker headers. You get an X-Pipe for like $50 with the purchase of any Hooker header.

Here are the sound clips...

The videos are kind of squished and disregard the watermarking

Someone tell me what I did wrong with the links =(
