Pacesetter install tomorrow...

im installing my pacesetter headers tomorrow and my question is, is there anything special i need to know about this install? and do i need any special tools for the job? ive never done a header install before so i need some helpful advice.

Good Luck. I did my first header install about 4 months ago. I was nervous. After doing it, I would do it again for anyone who asked me to. Be patient, expect to get all cut up. I did break one of my factory plug wires. Number 4 actually. I have less than 30K on my car too. No biggy. Just a good reason to order new plugs and wires. Take your time. Oh, allot of people say 10mm gearwrench...I bought one and didnt use it. Good luck again, you will prob get frustrated, but it is SOOO worth it when you crank her up. Oh and its gonna smoke like hell from the engine bay when you first crank her up. Good luck

Use your factory gaskets. I cleaned mine up with a 3M "finishing pad" and WD40. Came pretty clean and sealed up well.

Oh, and to prevent any questions about whether or not they should get very hot very quickly...yeah, they have like 1200* gas travelling through them

use the stock gaskets and go buy yourself a 10mm gear rachet end wrench, it will make it like 100 times easier to get the manifold bolts off. Also get the car very high up in the air. The higher the better.

also you can either make your own 02 extension with the little kit provided with the headers or buy some extensions. The 10mm gear wrench is a time saver on some of the manifold bolts also. And as stated above use your stock gaskets or go get a new set of stockers. Plugs are a good idea too while your in there.

get the car as HIGH off the ground as possible. And gear wrenches will cut the time down in half.

A 10mm ratchet wrench helps a LOT! 7/16 for Stage 8 header bolts. Your hands won't get that banged up if you take it slow and not rush anything. Good luck!
