everything i listed is under 10 bucks except for the berger ceta and egr...that is why "????" are by them... i think ceta could be done for under 10 and you can make your own blockoffs for prolly nothing

Whistler is where you turn your headlights a light black by cooking them basically. Wire mod is where you can hide all of the wiring under your hood to clean the engine bay up alot. Do a search on the hatch thing, i've seen it before but i can't recall off the top of my head.

Hey i apreciate that. I def need need to do that Hatch mod because ive had that problem since i bought the car. I thought i was going to have to buy new hatch shocks.

Maybe try actually reading some of the sticky's?
BTW - Most of the free mods are a TOTAL waste of time, especially the performance orientated ones.
And come on polishing, as a mod?????
You must be having a laugh. That's just general car maintance.

as i see it if you only gain 5 hp its worth it.... 5 hp is 5 hp and eveylittle bit helps.....and polishing is more the general maintance....maybe polishing your wheels.... but thats not what im talking about......and yes pretty much all of these are posted but not everybody knows all these free mods... im just trying to help eliminate alot of hassel, but i guess not everybody can appreciate it

Yeah polishing is definately not under the category of general maintance. I'm assuming he's talking about under hood polishing to sharpen things up a bit. I agree alot of the free mods are a waste of the time, and things like de-screening your MAF could even be dangerous, but when you're broke and want to mod the car just doing the littlest thing can satisfy you or give you something to work on for a day when your bored etc.

As for every 5bhp, well that would be fine but the majority of the "free" mods you are looking at ZERO - 1bhp gain. And what's more some carry risk where you can actually end up loosing power.
IMO the best free mods are:
-Ported TB
-Bump stop mod (throttle body)
-FRA (but not for drag racing, as it just will not help)
Understanding the how and why is important. You need to know what the car does stock and why it does it. Then you need to understand what the mod you are performing is, what the expected gain should and how it's achieved.

and i think more then 1 hp can be added by free mods....many people prefer ported stock tb over $400 aftermarket ones, there have been dyno results showin 6hp on tb bypass and free ram air mod im sure does something at speeds over 60 which are nealy impossible to show on a dyno since you arent moving
as for the descreening

and for dry shot it will prevent the screen from iceing up and blockind flow
