he had flowmaster 10's before that, he liked how deep it sounded with the flows, with his setup on the car now it is quiet at idle, but when he hits the gas it sounds pretty wideopen. mine is loud just sitting there, go to LS1 sounds man, and listen to the flowmaster 1 chambers and see if you like it. cause that is how mine sounds when i gas it, but at idle it sounds mean as hell with the big cam i got in her. i dont have that brace under the X pipe that he does with my duals so im not sure what the reasons are other then keeping the body tight and kind like a drive shaft loop

i agree man with the sound nothing compares, just like the old school cars, i think the flows would the best for what he wants no question that he would be happy with them

yea man, if my car didn't already have a catback on it i'd get some. too bad it does, even though i like it

i dunno man, a catted y-pipe is $325, maybe if i can sell my dual/dual for $200 i'll get TD's next year with headers. i'm debating whether or not it's worth it...parts are only like $400 w/cats, it's the damn labor bringing it out the back

hell man my labor costs were 125 to run it and dump it, my X was 90 and the flows were 72 each so i had less then 400 in that plus the 400 for my pacesetters. so its a 800 system

i think I am sold! Flows it is with 2.5" piping and True Duals. Any reason to go with 3" or is 2.5" plenty big enough?

well the inlet and outlets on the mufflers are 3" in and 3" out, i would run 3" personally since the shop wont have to use reducers or anything and to keep it simple, what are the mods you have done to the car anyways?

if you're intending to make less than 500hp, 2.5" will be fine. a 2.5" true dual setup should flow equal or better than a 3" y-pipe setup so you should be great. i'm not sure the EXACT peek flow of a 2.5" system but a bolt on car will be 110% fine.

lol, i still got 3 years of college left and the debt will only build i so wish i could...oh well but one day i must. until the day they make another firebird, i'll hold onto this car til i die. i'll drive it for a million miles if i have to. anything can be fixed.

i wish modding wasn't so damn expensive..

as soon as the car gets here it should be going on. I am not sure if I should go ahead and lower it and everything first before I have the over the axle duals run...still not sure about that but i do know i am going with 1 chamber flows

alright after thinking about it some I am not sure that I want something as loud as true duals with 1 chambers. I am going to DD this and my gf is pretty sensative about loud exhaust. (my old truck would give her headaches) so I would like to try to keep the noise inside to a minmum. Is there anyway that I can run True Duals with a diff muffler and keep it somewhat quiet inside the car? I want it deep, low, and loud when I go wide open, but I don't need it too loud when puttin' around. Please let me know guys.

I am really thinking about going with the hooker/magnaflow exhaust setup...
I really like the tips and such on the magnaflow. Both seem to have a good tone and isn't that loud til u step in it.

I guess that would be like someone without taste GIVING appearance ADVICE on what looks good.

I think I'm going to put you on my ignore list. I've never seen you offer anything useful, and you usually just manage to **** people off. Yeah, you're getting ignored.
