Default true dual exhaust...will one designed for a 00 LS1 fit my 93 LT1?

long story, but in my garage I've got a complete stainless true dual exhaust built to fit long tube headers. It has the Magnaflow round mufflers in the rear w/ slp dual/dual tips. It has an x-pipe then runs together to run 2 2.5" common pipes where the 3" pipe is now, then together over the axle, then split. It is an awesome set-up built from GMMG stuff. This is why I'm selling my GMMG cat-back in the FS forum.

I just wonder if I strip all my junk off the 93, will it go in? I know that the 93-02 underside is basically the same -except a few different cat locations, etc.

Anybody know? I don't mind having to do some cutting and fab work here and there, but at the same time I'd just assume sell it to an LS1 guy for enjoyment rather than me having to basically recreate the darn thing to work on my 93.

Any help?

I think that it would work from the transmission mount back, but you would probably need to rework from the transmission mount to the headers. But I'm just going from memory.

93 has that funky y-pipe that turns immediately under the oil pan. I just am trying to figure out if the normal y-pipe would would work if you had to use it, therefore being compatible w/ later years? It might come down to a lot of measuring and guessing. But...I'm not chopping it up unless I'm fairly certain it will work.

No it would work on the front half of the exhaust. Everything in the tunnel after the trans, sure it will fit.

Why don't you have a muffler shop custom make you a dual system? That way it will fit properly.

because at the muffler shop it would be made of aluminized steel and whatever mufflers I come up with -this that I already have is a full stainless steel system.

I may just sell it as is.

I've got a "it will work up front", and a "it will work out back". I guess it will come down to the test fitting.

For those interested -the final truth was that the only difference whatsoever was the y-pipe. On LS1s the driver side header curves out toward the driver door, and the passenger side is straight. On LT1s both are fairly straight. So...some rework of the y and all is well.
