Default true duals with, chassis mount torque arm?

basically can you fit true duals under a car that has the spohn chassis mounted torque arm and DD subframe connectors. id prolly go with under the axles too and put a flange to unbolt when lifting car

yes... but it's gonna be tricky. I've looked into it, as I have a spohn tq arm (soon going to a th400, and a bmr crossmember with tq arm relocation and bmr chromoly stock style in place of the spohn unit, due to the hoop on the chassis mount hitting everythign in sight and then some) and I can tell you an X pipe and true duals can be done, but you have to have it made to the car, no kit that is sold will work.

Yes.

There's two options I see.

The easy one is go for a H pipe, there should be enough room with out any hassle. Plus don't listen to the nay sayers. H's perform well and in most cases will offer next to no bhp difference to an X pipe.

Secondly go for the X, I've seen one or two setups where the X is places under thru the cross brace of the torque arm where the Y pipe would usually go. The middle part of an X is it's narrowest part and should fit provided the X isn't wide splayed. There have been a few pics of such a setup in the past. But I'm not sure what threads.

If you get the TA with the drop-down for the I-pipe, I suppose it would fit. I could barely get my QTP ( Flowmaster ) merge collector to fit in there, BUT, I had SLP SFCs, and they caused some clearance issues. I' m sure a good exhaust shop can square you away. If you have the Spohn driveshaft loop, it may not work though...

i don't see why that would have a problem... it's not even close to the exhaust

so ya if you have a chasis mounted one your only option is custom true duals

I have the same setup, slp frame connectors, spohn chassis mount unit with loop, and QTP longtubes with a catted Y... and it was a bitch to get to fit. I plan on doing a set of duals eventually, but the spohn tq arm is coming off when I put teh th400 in, picked up a th400 bmr crossmember with tq arm relocation on it, and a chromoly adjustable bmr stock style arm to go on with it, mainly becssue teh spohn unit had to be shimmed down to clear the y pipe, and that thign now bottoms out on EVERYTHING. It's going away because of that and that alone, the new setup hopefully will clear the tq arm, my luck, it will hit the Y pipe because of teh way it was welded together to avoid the spohn piece.

If worse comes to worse I will have the duals made around the BMR stuff that's all.. just don't want to have to do it yet, I am sure trying to go thru emissions with that setup dumped under the car won't fly, never mind no cats (not that mine have anything left in them anyway)
