Default Need Help!!

I was changing the oil and noticed this:

This is on the passenger side of the oil pan. Im guessing that it is a oil temp sensor. Am I right? The wires that run to it look like they have been cut, they are dangling down there, those black things to the right. What is it, and do I need to get a new one and rewire it? Please help!!

Yeah you do have one. it comes on when you start the car and stays on if you need a change sometimes.

Well it looks like I just have to replace the connector and not the sensor. I hope the dealership sells that.

That is your oil level switch, in case you run low on oil. If there is enough wire left on the connector you can just splice the harness back together. If the wires were cut off flush with the connector you either need to get a new connector or take the connector apart, remove the 2 "pins" and get 2 new pins crimp the wires in and put the connector back together.
