Default ORX dumped vs over axle

About how much power would you expect a given bolt-on LS1 to lose when converting from pacesetter LTs/2.5 ORX/sweet thunder dumped, to the same set-up run all the way over the axle and out the back?

Thanks a lot.

i had 3" duals with STs and i put tail pipe on and only 2.5" would fit over the axel so i got choked up there and after they were on i felt a noticable diffrence, it sounds awesome though. but what ive decided to do is get flanges welded on so i can take my tail pipes off whenever i want, like when i go to the track.

I doubt you'd loose any power. It might feel slower due to it being quieter, but that's in your head most likely. If you did loose anything, I'd say its going to be worth it for the decreased interior noise you have to deal with.

BTW - Have you looked at going under the axle? It's how all the cool kids are doing it.

The only real problem with going under the axle, is...well, don't EVER put it on a lift that unloads the rear suspension

6-bolts and my tail sections came off, then you can unload the suspension like nobody's business. My car has been on a 2-post lift exactly 2 times.

I have no doubt that going over the axle is the better way to do it, if it's done right. It is, however, more expensive and more time consuming, plus you usually have to neck down to 2.5"

I think under the axle looks cooler too.
