But I cant speak from experience there.

Sorry.
How about you tell us how your qtp's don't fit. I'd like to know.

QTP HVMCs. If I were to choose to cut my car up, between LTs, it would be the QTPs. I got more power, they look sweet ( I looked under my hood everyday ;D ), went in pretty easy, and just a bit of grinding. Of course, those pretty polished primaries also stood out to the CHP officer who gave me a ticket for them, because they stood out. Almost lost my car because of that.

Regarding the statement about the HVMCs adding 5"s, IMHO, I believe the length of the collectors are the same between the standard and HVMC collectors on the QTPs. It appears, through photo comparisons, on cars, the Kooks collectors are a bit shorter, overall, than both QTP styles. I can say that my QTP catd' Y-pipe fit the same between both styles, I had on the same car. Not trying to be argumentative, but, I believe both QTP style collectors are the same length.

Can someone else please back this guy up? I never knew Kooks could come with the HVMC? Although looking at the two collectors they look identicle.
Also I'd haft to say my vote goes to Kooks for a better y-pipe fitment. Anything that cost you a grand better not have any fitment issues. IMO

that is what i meant by it being longer.. b/c of the HVMC..

can someone explain the HVMC to me. i sort of get the idea. does it have to do with the 4 primaries that merge into the 3" collector? lol it sounds redundent.. what is the purpose of HVMC??

whatever you decide to go with, have them ceramic coated. trackside maintenance sucks on uncoated stainless steel headered cars. that **** gets HOT.

The current Kooks collector, while not having the reduced diameter that the merge collector does, has an internal velocity spike that should perform similarly.

Well I beg to differ - I bought QTP headers and the drivers side header looks like the resident drunk put it together.
At least Kooks will stand up at the plate when there is a problem with their product.
I vote for kooks.

Also, kooks has offered the HVMC for years now, it is an option FYI.

QTP are great quality-if they are made right to begin with.

If not your on your own, they didn't stand behind anything I purchased.
It seems like everything is the customer's fault with them. They basically told me I didn't know what I was doing. I'm a Mechanical/Aerospace Engineer. My current duties involve the development of component repairs and maintenance issue mitigation involving rotary wing air-craft.

LMAO

LMAO

so they were right .... right???

joking.... thanks... i think ill take that into great consideration...
i have heard of alot of fitment issues with the QTP's (of recent atleast) and i really havnt heard of any issues w. KOOKS... i kno they;'re much bigger then other options for the performance aspect obviously but for very very very similar performance it seems like KOOKS may be the way to go...

any other comments/concerns???
