I'm planning on going Kooks for the great fitting, stainless steal catted y.

People will vote for whatever they have, but you can't go wrong with either.

Current QTP's are polished. No brainer for me.

Amen. Kooks is my vote. If you're on a cosmetic kick, get polished QTPs, so that the couple of times a year somebody else is looking an your engine, they will be dazzled. Me personally, I wouldn't get sucked into the whole HVMC thing. There are TOO MANY variables in each individuals car to account for 5 extra HP. So many different setups and parts to make up a whole. I'd base my decision on fitment, and Kooks it top notch. I can't say I've had any personal experience with QTP, but everything I've read shows that there Y-pipe blows and hangs like 1 inch off the ground.

yea for like $1200

QTP's are cheaper than kooks plus you get HVMC with the QTP's.

the way i see it, QTP's for TD's, Kooks for y-pipe setups.

QTP 1 3/4" or Kooks 1 7/8"

If your set up doesn't need the 1 7/8, go QTP.

my new qtp's fit like ****.

But they flow great.

I have them on true duals which worked out great.

If you want a y pipe.. kooks is OK. I hear some stuff about alot of banging going on with their y pipe too..

But I cant speak from experience there.

Sorry.

They are both nice headers but we prefer Kooks for the Y-pipe fit. HP is pretty much the between them both.

It's nice for a while but after running them they lose their shine.

Do a little research before going to a 1&7/8". Fitment becomes more of a problem with the larger headers, and some heads actually perform better with the 1&3/4".

I use Kooks but both are a good choice IMO.

I dont know which QTP's I have, I ordered them in March, and recieved them in April. The welds go all the way around the primarys. I have a little rubbage going on with the first primary on the passanger side on the K-member. I had more trouble getting my drivers side header in than anything. It does not rub anywhere. Passengers side slid right. The ORY was still the easiest part about the whole job. Yeah, it hangs kind of low, not to bad. I am not lowered. No, banging or rattles of any type. My reducer did not reduce enough so the pipe is just laying in there(like a half open catback) untill I can get it welded. IT SOUNDS SO GOOD. I have stock SS cat back.

That is what i have.. QTP with my TDs...

BTW QTP > Kooks

qtp has a better merge going into the collector, plus it is a loner LT..

The QTP and Kooks long tube headers are the same length. When you add the HWM to the QTPs then it is longer by 5 inches.
