Default Where'd my cats go?

Had LT's for a while now and was planning on taking the half-asssed excuse for cat inserts out of my y-pipe...well I disassembled the y today and the corrugated-cardboard-looking metal in the cat inserts had completely broken free and were nowhere to be found! I heard several loud "boom" noises while cruising several months ago, so I guess that's when they went. Is this normal for these poor quality cat inserts? Is what's left of the metal inserts probably clogging up my muffler now?

Sounds like they blew out to me! If you're not getting rattling, I'd call it OK. I doubt they are going to hurt performance, and I'd be willing to bet that 90% flew out the tail pipes.

Yeah, seems a lot of Jet-Hot owners have had blow-out
problems. I decided to save mine for later and just put in
the blanks.
