Have you ever even seen a FIPK for a F body, the filter has more surface area than a stock sized drop in filter!

^^yea the filter has enough surface area, if you do the math you would see that filter is flowing well enough for the engine. I have the volant fipk and i get the same noise but it seems to go away after a few minutes.

no havent seen one, maybe its just the style of intake then.. the longer run to the tb with round or oval style filters all seem to whine alot louder then drop in or stock style intake's on most cars. i just thought it was the filter becuase most i have seen have a small little cone, or two small cones.

I bet it has close to twice the surface area of the stock filter.
