Default Oil in the intake...

I pulled my intake apart to get it ported... when I opened it up there was quite a bite of oil in there I have heard using a catch can helps but I have also heard that they can cause the seals to pop out due to too much pressure What can I do to help this???

FYI - My valve covers are off of a truck (only one pcv on one side) and my baffles have been removed for clearance.

If you have seal-popping pressure levels you don't
have a PCV problem, you have a blowby problem.
PCV is orificed down so it only can draw a little flow.
Idle, low cylinder pressure, low blowby, fine. WOT,

I did some more searching... and I think am going to switch to the ls6 valley cover/ PCV system and put in a catch can. If I go to the ls6 style pcv... should I pull my old pcv system off or use it as extra?

I've got the LS6 valley cover too. Cap the fittings on the valve covers and hook the catch can right up to the LS6 valley cover. (like this)

I was under the impression the whole idea behind doing the LS6 conversion was so you wouldn't need a catch can. Just put in the valley cover, seal the valve covers and that's it.

I got just as much oil in the intake after the LS6 valley as before. Most useless mod I ever did.
