Default Pacesetter connection

What is everyone using to connect their pacesetter long tubes to the rest of the exhaust?

First off, IMO the collector connection sucks *****. The collector is too short, the clamp is interfered with by the 02 sensor bung, so my TSP duals leak from both collectors using the band clamps. Now I have to trim some of the system, move the TSP pipe a little bit down stream to allow a tight fit. Other than that, yes all SS band clamps.

I hate seing U bolt clamps on exhaust. Get band clamps. The ones that came with my TSP kit are like butt joint clamps, they comform well to the step in the pipes. I accidently ordered a lap joint band clamp from Summit one time but returned it and just went and got a butt joint locally. I do have some U bolt clamps but they are turned so you can barely see them, and about impossible to get a wrench on the bolts. If you do use U style, paint them cause they will rust quick.

I welded mine because the x-pipe i made was kind of off but I grinded the welds off to remove it for a tranny swap and it went back on with ease...two band clamps hold it now. If it holds well with band clamps then use them...if its hard to keep on then weld.

I would never weld for the reason of needing to take it off for future maintnence. I used band clamps from TSP as well.

Ive had no luck with a leak free connection. The drivers collector has the o2 bung close, and the pipe gets squareish. The stepped bandclamp wont fit, the 3 inch straight one wont sit flush on the top due to the collector becoming oddround, Im taking it to a shop tomorrow and see what he can do.

The header collector is 3". The Y-Pipe is expanded to fit over the header.
