few qtp header questions
i am looking at getting the qtp longtube headers with the offroad y pipe with the electric cutouts.
questions:
1. does this sound like a good combo
2. what else will i need to do this
3. will they fit up to my magnaflow exhaust
4. do i have to worry about emissions for it enough that i should get the catted y instead.

well the qtp headers are good, there y-pipe is very good free flowing, bad fitment, personally if I had to do it again, id do this.
Qtp headers, buy the flowmaster y piece for the y-pipe and get a y-pipe custom made it will be cheaper and fit better and flow just as good if not better. What I would try to do if your worried about passing inspection, when you get the y-pipe custom made put the cutouts right after the headers, something like this headers collector couple inch long piece of pipe, cutout, couple inch long piece of pipe and magnaflow cats ($75 each) piping to flowmaster y merger back to your cat back, that way it wont be too loud for inspection, you still have cats, and you can unlock the power when need be.
Yes it should fit up with your magnaflow.
Wow I should have thought about this when I got my headers and y-pipe on damn. Again I dont know if it will work though. But it sounds like a good idea.
Oh yeah dont forget the header gaskets and 24" extension for the 02's and the o2 simulators unless you plan on getting the rear o2's tuned out of the car.

pretty easy actually went in good, fitment is good, y-pipe fitment is very very tight, actaully resting agains my driveshaft safety loop, that why im recommding getting one custom made.

I had to bang the floor board a bit to get them to slide up but once they were in the fit is great. The best part about them is I gained 15rwhp going from FLPs with ory and open cutout to the QTPs and my custom made true duals.
