Wow, where do I begin? Very, very different sounding set-ups. I'll be very honest with you...I liked my GMMG/single exhaust set-up, but I like my Flowmaster/true duals much, MUCH more. See my answers in bold to your questions below:

What do I think??? I'd never, ever go back to a cat-back/Y-pipe set-up again after hearing these Flowmaster/true duals! I'm not kidding when I say these 1-chambers make our cars sound NOTHING like you've ever heard out of an LS1 engine. I'll leave it at this...When I rev my car up, it sounds very similar to my neighbor's '69 383 Chevelle SS with a true dual Flowmaster set-up...And I don't eve have a cam yet
Damn you, Im sure I will love the spiral flows. You guys are making me fall in love with the damn 1chambers. hmmmm.

Is this true?? I was looking at maybe swapping in some 1-chambers. I love the ST's, but looking for a change. I might just flange it so I can swap out mufflers when I want to.

This is true. I have mine dumped 90% of the time. The only time I put my tail pipes on is when I go on trips. It makes it a lot quieter in the car, but it doesn't sound as good. It has a splatty sound under part throttle. Now, wide open throttle still sounds amazing.

Gotcha....my ST's have that blatty sound at part throttle as well. I might just dump mine again and do like you do for road trips. Because the ST's did sound a hell of alot better when they were dumped. That was part of the reason I was looking at swapping in a different muffler.

Some of my favorite sound clips I've heard are of it being ran out the back.

But it's all subjective.

You'd really be pushing it with that long of a case. Before I bought my mufflers I made a "template" out of cardboard & duct tape the same size as the muffler case so I could place it in various spots under the car to see what clearance would be like.....I'd suggest doing the same.

Those two cases are the smallest models available of the 40 series delta FORCE.

Delta Force are part of the race series of flowmaster mufflers, under the same category as 10 series. Not the same thing as Delta Flow, those fricken huge ones I mentioned earlier in the thread.

I think the 3"X8"X8.50" looks promising. I'll have to look into it more. The things I do just to be different.....
