My LTs might be banging a bit.. HELP
ok i jsut put QTP LTs in. looking under the hood on the passanger side you can see that one of the primaries is about 1/8" away from the k member. How can i keep it from touching that. i am not too sure but it might alos be touching the stering link too.. Also there is a little vibration at certain RPMs..does anyone else have this problem too?
any help would be greatly appreciated!

Bene, mine is not hitting the stering linkage, it is about and 1/8" away from it. Also it is 1/8 from pasasnger side k member.. i pounded the floor board in.. What i am really concerned about is the mother fvking vibration.. it is slgiht in at any RPM but very noticable at 2400 RPMs what the hell gives?????? i think i need to get it on a drive on lift with the motor running and see what is happening..
any other ideas?

There are quite a few writeups on this particular subject. It could be that the headers are out of spec (they didn't bend them quite right). This happens and seems to be a common problem.
More than likely though, it's the motor mounts. If you go with LT's, you almost always need poly motor mounts.
I don't know exactly what GM did, but the material they used for the mounts SUX! The motors really bounce around and move in the engine compartment....some much more than others. There's too much travel in the motor and not enough clearance with the headers....simple (but PITA solution).
