2.5" x pipe into sweet thunders dumped before axel here......couldnt be happier, the car doesent get crazy loud till about 3,500-4,000 rpms and highway driving the car is actually quieter than when i had just my loudmouth catback.

Don't worry about the spiral flows man just try 'em out I bet you'll like. Mine sound flowmaster esque outside the car, not 1 chambers but they are a unique sounding bullet. Good luck.

So everyone who voted other, what is your choice? I hear good things (no pun intended) about the Sweet Thunders and I am about to pull the trigger on a set of TSP TD's..........I had Magnaflow bullets on my last LS1 with TD's an wasn't all that impressed.......it was a custom setup, 3", mandrel bent with cats and an x-pipe and it exited out the rear (over the axle). I don't want to make the same mistake again with muffler/TD choices.

Good thing because I dont want to get the wrong mufflers. From what ive heard so far by sound clips, I will be happy.

I couldn't be happier with my spiral flows. I absolutely love the way my car sounds.

I was wondering what 2 loudmouth tubes would sound like on a custom x pipe with gutted catts or maybe no cats at all.

spiral flows or the flo pros....i had both and they sound VERY similar. ill just say exactly the same and they sound awesome. no rasp at all. not crazy loud at idle but they roar when you jump on it.

I wasn't going to go true duals at first because I thought they all sounded too raspy.

Then I started hearing some Flowmaster 1 Chamber clips and couldn't believe how much better they sounded than any other true dual set-up. So that's the way I'm going.

Why get rid of the X instead or just changing the mufflers? I've heard the h-pipes sound a little better but the x flows better.

yea the x flows a TAD bit better.. so i amy loose like 2-3 RWHP not that bad.. Also with all the x mufflers they are racier sounding..

H= Deep Bassy old school sound

X= Racy, exotic high pitched sound

i want that old school sound out of my LS1

Mufflers I would choose(in order) and why.

1. 1 Chamber Flows- very deep sound, scream at wide open throttle, and sound unreal with a big cam.
2. Pro Flow Twisters- deep sound at wide open throttle, good, clean sound with a cam.
3. Sweet Thunders- unique "racecar-like" sound at wide open throttle, especially when the car is coming at you, almost as loud as bullets, but have a more defined sound, and they can be bought in varying lengths which alters the volume and sound slightly.
