Off road Y pipe for Ebay headers
Pipe...free, had it laying around
Flowmaster Scavanger Series Y Collector, 2x3 inch into 1x3.5 inch pipe...$48.99
Summit 3.5 inch manual cutout...32.95
Flowmaster 3 1/3 to 3 inch reducer (came with 2, other is going on after the 3.5 inch downpipe on my little turboFord)....$21.88
Shipping...8.95
The total cost for me to make my own Y pipe turned out to be $112.77. I know that the price seems high to fabricate something yourself, but I feel the fit quality and flow characteristics exceeds anything that I could have purchased pre-made.
Oh yea, it took me at least 6 hours of cuting and welding mandrel bends to get it right. I don't do this very often and only had a 14 inch Harbor Freight cutoff wheel, an air grinder, a 3 inch air cutoff wheel and a Lincoln Weldpac 100 at my disposal. Life would have been much easier with a bandsaw to cut the pipe!
Good luck!
