Default stock or flowmaster?

Since everybody hates the flowmaster's, I was wondering if my stock ws6 exhaust is a better muffler or gives me better horsepower. The 80 series catback I got does sound good though. Just wondering what the crew thinks out there.

yeah there was a thread a few days ago about how much power the 80's series with held. I had the flowmaster ctback for about two years it sounds good too but when i wanted to unleash the power i just flipped the switch and the cutout opened.

I would keep stock catback and go with a cutout. Still looks stock. I personally think flowmasters are worse than stock.

flowmaster > stock in sound.. hands down

take me for example, i'm not gaining or losing anything by having a flowmaster, but it's my daily driver... i want it to sound nice, and i want people to know not to **** with the camaro

I was thinking the same thing, electric cut out. Should feel a difference in hp after that. Plus I need to ditch the hand held reprogrammer and get a custom tune.

That is a confusing statement. Why should a Vette be louder than any other LS1? If the Vette was that loud, why wouldn't the F-Bodys be just as loud?

It's highly unliekly that the stock OEM muffler flows as well as the 80 Seires. Plus the Flowmaster catback uses 3" tubing so is a much better bet even if youplan on using a cutout.
