Mike,
How long will the intro prices last? I am up at my parents' and won't be back until next week. I'll be buying one as soon as I return. Ben

FWIW, Mike Norris did a great job with my H/C install and stands behind his work, so I have no doubt that this is a quality product.

Hi Ben,

Thanks for the kind words my friend. The prices are good till next Friday, the 27th of October, then up to the normal retail price of $84.95. Just call me next week. I will most likely be out of the shop Thursday afternoon, 10/26/06, until Monday Nov 6th as I will be out of town at the SEMA show in Las Vegas. Those e-mailing me orders to thevettedr@aol.com by midnite, 10/27/06, will recieve the special pricing.

Thanks and talk to you soon.

ZoomZ is checking on the colors and should post here soon I believe. As far as the FRC's, there is adjustment built into the can and it is just a matter of finding what works for certain applications. Hope this helps.

I think you have it hooked up backwards. The air should flow from the bottom (entrance) out of the top (exit). It looks as if you have it hooked up so that the suction is pulling air out of the resivoir (full of oil).

Maybe I'm missing something?

He has it put on correctly. If you take it apart you will find the filter is at the top, and the suction comes from the bottom. I can see where you are coming from though. I thought so as well, but after you get it and take it apart you will see.

Black01,

An earlier post from Mike Norris contradicts that:

To me, it seems like you would want to "suck" into the intake from the filtered side. Sucking into the intake from the resivoir doesn't make sense to me. I saw a pic of the disassembled can, and it still doesn't makes to me to suck from the resivoir .

My thinking is that ideally, you'd want to feed the catch can's resivoir with an unfiltered PCV line. Oil that doesn't make it passed the filter would be trapped in the resivoir, while filtered air would go up through the top and into the intake. Pulling air through the filter INTO the resivoir seems like it would simply saturate the filter until it becomes oversaturated and begins to drip into the resivior, leaving the intake feed pulling air from a resivoir full of oil - only relying on a 90º fitting placement to keep oil out of the intake manifold feed line.

Can you clarfy?

I think the other guy is saying that its backwards because of the way the AMW can is hooked up. On it, the VC goes to the top port and the side port goes to the intake.

My apologies, board, and Mr. Norris in particular. The original intent was to post a "press release" sort of thing to this board, which in retrospect is improper, to hijack a sponsor's thread.

We are working toward a sponsorship here on ls1tech.com, and I will post in a new thread in an appropriate place at some time in the future.

With sincere thanks,

This can was designed to take cv from the valve covers into the top of the can .
The oil vapors come into the can , hit the filter and turn the vapor into a liquid , inturn droping the liquid downwards while the remaining air returns upward and out the side hole in route to the intake manifold .

If you take the cv into the side of the can the oil vapors turn downwards
slightly untill it reaches the snout inside the can , turn upwards and hit the filter , going this route will constantly be pushing oil vapors upwards through the filter and out of the can .

The filter material is used to congiel the oil back into some what of a liquid state .

I would estimate that it turns about 95% of the vapors back into a liquid form.

I hope this clears things up a little .
