Are MAC mid lengths good for 2 tenths?

My car with the TR230 cam passed the testing with the catted mac Y and a little tweaking to the tune. The guy at the testing place looked at the pass screen then back at the car and gave me a NO WAY IN HELL look. He then ran the test again and it passed again, he just shrugged, shook his head in disbelief and pulled it forward.
anyways..
If you can get a set of MAC's for real cheap they might be an option, but with the prices of true long tubes now-a-days, they are usually the best way to go.

MACs out of the box are worth around 15-20rwhp. If you grind the interior welds and use a Flowmaster collector instead of the ball/socket flange, you can get even more. I made 18rwhp with MAC headers and my factory cats welded in the MAC Y-pipe. I've seen MACs go in the classifieds for under $300, so they are a viable alternative to LTs for somebody that wants a good preforming header with great fit that drops in from the top.

For the price, they are still a good header, though I do agree that if you get a similar deal on a set of LT's, I'd go for those. As I said though, I've never personally seen a set of LT's seall as cheap as you can get MAC headers for.
