Default gains from goin 2.5 in. to 3 in.?

Hey, im gettin some tru duals put on in 2 weeks on the 28th, the guy at the shop said its almost impossible to do dual 3 inch over the axle even with the phb relocation kit. I told him i was going to be going F.I. (turbo) and that i was gonna need the 3 inch piping in the future and he said that would end up bein a single outlet exhaust anyways so i wouldnt have tru duals then, is that true? Also, i have an ORY now and i love the sound w/o cats, will it tone down the sound ALOT? or just a little? and how much power will the cats be takin away? So i guess my setup will be true duals with hi flow cats dynomax bullets, can anyone giv eme an idea of what this will sound like?

There are lots of guys on here with duals going over the axle and 3" pipes. Don't know why your guy can't do it. Have you thought of going under the axle? It seems to be getting more popular and I have yet to read a complaint from someone who has gone that route. Would be a lot easier for the guy to do as well.

2.5" will support plenty of power. The '03-04 Cobras run either 2 1/4" or 2.5" (Don't remember which) and they make north of 600 rear wheel with it.

Why not run under the axle? It's not like you'd lose ground clearance (from speed bumps and stuff like that at least) since it is right there with the rear tires.

3" over the axle will give you clearance problems at certain times. Not all the time. I have 2.5" OVER and it still bangs here and there depending on road conditions. I would do a 3.5" single if you are going turbo. True duals are not going to be able to work.

i realize that the turbo wont work with that, but i wont be getting that turbo for a while... probably a year and a half or so, so in the mean time i wanna enjoy some tru duals.
