The Ring of Silence
The quickest way to tell is to put you hand down by the tail pipes while it's running. If there is significantly more pressure coming out the passenger side then you have it. And the other thing is if the passenger side is dirty.
It will be really obvious to you. If it's not then you don't have it.

The ring was installed due to KALIFORNIA noise restrictions, so go blame YOUR state gov't, not SLP, and not GM.

The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
Many of the local folks by me running headers and no cats had to run the SLP dual dual since it was one of the few exhausts that would pass tech inspection at Raceway Park.
In general I think it is a little bit louder, it's more like it was before only in Stereo and deeper. Not sure if you'll be able to tell from the footage.

Go figure
I was wondering if the pipe could be cut with a pip cutter and then clamped back into place. I have a cutter and am too lazy to go somewhere to have it welded. On my 2000 it looks like a welded slip fit with about 2" slip. Instead of hacking it off maybe its possible to just cut the outter piece.
This whole subject shows just how
some exhaust designers are. I mean "Oh it's too loud, so hey lets just block it off". idiots..

I cannot get any of my computers to read the DVD. I suspect it is the type of disc that I used when I burned it.. I have to get a different disc and try it again. I work on that this coming weekend...
