How far down the tail pipe is this "Cone of Silence"? I ran a cloths hanger down my drivers side tail pipe and it went through until the bend with no restrictions? is it in the straight part of the pipe or in the bend right at the muffler exit?

by the way my car is a 01 SS M6

I'd never heard of the ring of silence either. I've heard of the cone of silence in refernce to the 2OTL systems.

if you look at the pic it is right after the exhaust hanger mount.

I know this is an old *** thread, but I started up my 2002 SS with factory CME and I'm seeing/feeling the same flow out of both tips, so I don't think I have it on mine.

This is the first I have heard of it. I have a 00' Firehawk with the dual/dual muff. Does anyone have any pictures of this? The pics in the thread aren't working anymore. Thanks.

It basically just looks like a washer in the tail pipe near the muffler. I went up to a muffler shop that had a small camera scope and they just drilled a small hole and looked for it then welded the hole back up. There is a pic in this thread

Question about the ring of silence i know is a old post but i just bought an slp dual dual i live in California and bought it here too and was wondering if it has it, did yours had it?
