Why new plugs with headers?
Why new plugs with headers? What is the reason many suggest getting TR55, I think is what I've read, plugs for a header swap? Also, what is gapping?
Does any of this have to do with the mileage of the engine wearing on the plugs?

people suggest it because it's just like replacing the head gasket when you change the headers.. it's 100X easier to do while you have everything off. While your at it, install poly motor mounts!
Some people like myself when they install headers somehow get them cracked. I cracked 4 plugs after I installed my longtubes. I took them all out btw before I replaced my exhaust manifolds w/ the headers. To this day I'm baffled how I did it.

I had a hammer
and broke off the porcelain end of the plugs , stock plug ends and wires were dropping like flys . Plug removal in less than 5 minutes

Verdad Gallardo I was making a checklist of what I should get to go along with the swap. I've never done any upgrades to a car before. I suppose I'll add those to it.

SLP Header bolts ... they're not much and the only other ones I could find were ARP for $100
New GM Manifold gaskets
Polyurethane motor mounts
O2 extensions -- would I need 12" or 24" length?
What makes the TR55 spark plugs so popular? They're cheap so is there something better? Different from TR6s?

tr6 is a colder range plug , get that if you plan on using a nitrous kit in the future
some get ''speed density tuned'' removing the mass airflow , o2's all together .. no harness needed
I installed bosh 13111 corvette rear o2 sensors , as they heat up quicker than stock o2's and mine runs great .

Well I'd like to stay "semi-legal." I'm in CA. I would like to be able to pass an OBD2 and sniffer, but I get that I'm a no-go for visual when I order/install this stuff. I want to get the AIR system out of my 02, install Pacesetter race style, have them bunged for 02 sensors. I would like the shop to fabricate a Y pipe for me using a flowmaster merge collector and magnaflow 7.75" long metal spun cats. From there I want it to go right back to my SLP DD muffler that came on the car.

The Tr6s dont lose much if any power na , run them and get a 100-150 shot nitrous kit and be like meatfoam here
