KOOKS 3" TRUE DUALS, OVER AXLE EXHAUST
#181
Wow. That's the nicest looking and sounding exhaust I've seen for a 4th gen. Not too bad of a price, either, if factoring in mandrel bent stainless and if it includes the cost of the headers, mufflers, and other parts involved.

I know I'm in the perfect position to buy this exhaust system since I still have a stock exhaust and already have (at the installer's place) the coated 1 3/4 Kooks longtubes and coated y-pipe with high flow cats. I have a brand-new SLP dual dual in an unopened box (ordered last year right before it was discontinued). I can sell that and apply the money towards this Kooks system...

If this is true and the car has to be brought in then it makes it pretty much an East Coast exhaust. I would love to replace my FLP's and Corsa with a full Kooks setup but cant justify driving or shipping my SS to New York for it.
I vote for mass production!!

You need to relocate your panhard bar if you plan on running the dual exhaust like the TA

Your right, the sounds clip doesnt do any justice, if for any reason it sounded raspy in the clip, it is probaby the camera because we had to redo the sound clip a few times because having the camera too close or too far, the car was so loud, it couldnt take a clear sound clip and the microphone on the camera couldnt record it clearly, but the car itself sounds amazing with no rasp.

In case anyone was wondering what the guy paid for these... it was 2600 bucks.
Now I know why it will never go into production... becuase if everyone on here coudl afford that, we all would have vipers or M5's

Keep in mind that probably included $1000 headers, 2x$110 cats, 2x$70 resonators, 2x$120 mufflers ...
Which leaves about $1000 in stainles steel mandrel bends, flanges, tips and labor.
That's not terribly unreasonable, but you you guys are right .. it's a big investment.
It does look and sound awesome though.

So tack another 800 on to that at least... 3400 dollars for a full exhaust.

Wow ... I think I will snag a second catback add a little custom welding,
a pair of small high flow cats, mufflers and maybe one or two extra mandrel
peices and call it a day.
