I do believe there have been some dyno testing between different x/h/na style exhaust systems. There were noticeable differences with either the x/h pipes. I also read in that test there were hp gains to be had in just the different brand x-pipes. I dont know how much faith i would put into that as it was a magizine test but it was in the 6-7 hp range. Seems like easy hp to me if your alredy doing it.
