Default Loud Mouth questions?

you guys are probably sick of these questions but trust me i've been researching and i just need a final answer. I'm adding pacesetter headers and ORY to my car, it already has the LM2. I'm worried about it being to loud. would it be any quieter with a sweet thunder or power stick? or would it be about the same? what would be the best way to get a tammer sound out of it? or would it be ok with the LM2 bullet?

My guess is it will be around the same decibel wise. I think each one you mentioned will resonate differently though. LM1 being the worst.

The different resinators will give it a different tone, but from what Ive read the actually loudness of it will be the same since its a straight through design, if you wanna go quieter your goin to need a REAL muffler

A muffler or cats. Mine is still really loud with the powerstick in place of the resonator but is a tad deeper at part throttle. I would have used a longer one but will be switching to duals next year and just get another 16".

I had LM1 and then I installed headers w/o cats and it was so loud that it would actually hurt your ears. I pulled up next to my friend on the freeway and dumped it and he said that it actually hurt his ears. It is too loud and I then went with the LM2. It has toned down a bit but still loud. I like it because when I'm just cruizen around it is decent but when I get on it, it's still loud.

any muffler besides a bullet will most likley have to be moved to the rear, at least with the borla.and the borla XR-1 will clean up the sound a bit, but i hear those dont have alot of ground clearence, but alot are running them. get a dynomax.

Dynomax 3" Bullets are only good for about 2 dBA's of sound reduction, & they do no tuning of the sound. They are glasspacks with smooth perf cores, & very small body cavity around the flow tube. They won't change the sound or drop the noise level much.
