K&N filters may or may not work, BUT who the hell is still using fram? I can appreciate someone sticking with the paper filter but at least use s decent one.

Remember the primary purpose of any air filter is to FILTER

Which the k&n isn't particulary good at when compared to other filter types/materials.
An air filter is not the area that you want to look for Hp at. Air cleaning is what its all about.

The Fram paper filter IS a decent one...don't get their air filter confused with their oil filter, which IS crap.

yea but where does it say that K&N filters let everything through them and blow your engine up? and ALOT of people buy them simply b/c if you keep your car long enough it is cheaper. New ford trucks paper filters are like 40-60 bux a piece, so its like 10 bux more for a K&N, and if you plan to keep the truck for a while 1> you dont have to worry about finding a store that has it in stock 2> you dont have to spend another 50 dollars. Both have their plus' and minus' but BOTH do filter which is why their called a AIR FILTER, and yea I feel dumber for reading this thread even though I skipped half of it

I have noticed that K and N is getting cheaper or something. I bought one four years ago and it was the exact same thickness as the stock paper filter. I bought one about a month ago and it is like a quarter of the thickness of the stock paper one.

You should feel dumber, noone said a K&N will blow up a motor. Read entire threads or don't post in them, you make yourself look like a class "A" assclown.

I'm not the only human that realizes they are crap, it takes time for more humans to figure it out. K&N obviously feels this in DECREASED sales over the years, therefore they have to manufacture their products a little cheaper. Hell if they're gonna drop the price, they're gonna suck people dry for as long as they can. One day, they will be out of business.
