i broke something is it important

Default i broke something is it important

i broke a plastic piece that comes from what looks like the evap system. it plugs into a small black canaster looking thing on the left side of the engine then go's to the front ofthe intake. can i just cap it of or doi need to replace it. here are some pics i took with my phone hope it helps.

I broke mine before and just left it like that for a while. It doesnt cause any issues. I eventually fixed it anyway.

Its the line for the EVAP purge line. Its not needed to run.

Why post if you dont have anything to contribute?

Our cars also come with cats, AIR, EGR, and rear O2 sensors and most of us take all that **** out so what the **** is your point?

It's for the evaporative system and won't affect performance. A new one is about $15 if I remember correctly (I broke mine too a few years ago when I was doing the FRCs).

thats like sayin you dont need bolt ons.oh i dont need my bolt ons because it wasnt there from the factory.
thats just emissions crap order some block off plates and throw all that sh*t away.then get your ecu tuned for it.it really cleans up the bay area.oh yeah the factory puts alot of crap on that the car doesnt need.if its not setting a dtc cap it off.

98 TA a4 it didnt need any of this non factory stuff ,but it made it alot faster
