best stock exhaust besides headers???
I think I am f***ed as far as headers go as I dont think my state allows them, so, what is the best stock type setup out there I can use to keep the emission ****'s away?

If its Cali, I know there are some people running Lt's, just make sure that you get a catted Y and EGR/AIR systems are retained. That way you will pass visual and get a tune so your computer is straight. Should be fine.

well LT's won't pass the visual also but... if you want to stay 100% legal or close enough for that matter you can run shorties (depending if your ride is '98~'00) otherwise it's not all that worth the bank. run a custom y with cheap (metallic) hi-flow cats ,in the stock locations,as they all flow roughly the same (according to my mouth ) and a nice flowing catback depending on your taste of sound

Just keepin false information from being takin as fact, ALOT of people think as long as you have cats your good to go but thats not always the case, you gotta read the fine print

Shorties are a waste of money, and you can't legally move the cat locations, so just run with a catback and spend the money on other go-fast parts. The stock manifolds will never outperform LT's, but you can still make some pretty impressive power with them.

Wasnt there some years better than others? And, I dont give a flying faaaak about the law! I will gut the **** outta the stock ones, put in a stright through pipe and stick one at the Y if they want visual! As long as my rear end says I am clean, they can go pound sand!

i know everybody here doesnt like them but if you decide to go with shorties checkout JBA's i think there made in cali. if i recall random tech makes a y- pipe with highflow cats in stock location. just something to chew on if you dont want to mess with say vette manifolds. cheers!
