Best Radiator
OK I've done a couple of searches and not coming up with much-what is the best aftermarket radiator? I'll be installing a Meziere water pump soon and thinking about upgrading the radiator while I'm at it. Has anyone replaced their radiator and had a nice drop in coolant temps? I usually run 180-185 degrees in traffic and about 175 on the highway with a 160 degree thermo even with the fans running so I'm thinking that the radiator just can't cool the engine as well as it should. Is ~160 degrees too cool for an LS1 to run? Any ideas on which one to buy, Griffin, Be Cool, SLP? Any knowledge is appreciated

Not sure about the other brands but the SLP is just an LT1 Radiator. I guess it's a larger core for more surface area...My bud john(99SS-T) runs one on his camaro. He makes well over 600rwhp and has no overheating issues...
BTW- I suppose every motor is a little different, but mine seems to run best around 180-190. When she's to cool she just doesn't seem to have the same pickup... Good ol' SOTP measurement of course...

Someone can correct me if im wrong but unless your making a huge amount of power their really isnt a need for it, I remember reading a while back on here that the stock one can support 5-600 HP

Cheapest "better" one is the LT1 piece. "Best",
no idea.
I am short on cooling capacity with A/C on,
in the summer. It depends a lot on where you
live and what's stacked up in front of the rad.

In fact unless you regularly see 210*, I wouldn't consider any changes.
