jethot headers
after weeks of i think i finally decided to go with the jethot headers. i need to keep the cats for the ypipe, i would rather not have the pain of trying to pass inspection in houston.
Should i just stick w/ the jethot ypipe, i havent heard many good things about it... or is there another brand that will work fine with it? Im running all this w/ corsa exhaust.
please help me out. thanks to everyone who has helped me out so far.

if your going to spend around a 500 bucks for jet hot get the hookers i love hooker and never have had a problem out of anything ive purchased from them. i havent heard many people run jet hots. myself personally had the funds and bought QTP's (nicest headers EVER hands down) if you dont have much money to spend on a set i have heard alot of people loving the pacesetters but i have heard there so called ceramic coating rusting off after awhile. hope this helps in your decision.

hooker are viturally the exact same as jet-hots, jet-hots however have jet-hot coating but I heard that jet-hots have a thicker flange.... I have their ORY and love it (fits really nice and tucks under well) Most people I see in Texas run ORY and don't have inspection problems? just get the AIR EGR and rear O2's deleted and since it doesn't throw a code there won't be a reason to inspect

My friend has Jet Hotts, just a couple years old and they're rusty as hell down by the collectors underneath the car. If your not goin stainless, I'd save a few bucks and just get the Pacesetter/tsp y pipe.

I have jet hots on my car and i love them. Great looking and a good fit. If you buy the jet hot y-pipe look inside for excess metal around the welds. I have the ory and had to use a drill and grinding stone to clean it up. ( Friend of mine has the catted y-pipe and had the same problem.) Otherwise great setup, also speed engineering and lm performance are two company's i know of selling the jet hots.

I noticed on the lm performance site, under the jet hot catted y pipe details it says the pipe has removable off road pipes included...so does this mean i could run ORY and then put the CATS back on when i need to get inspected? just trying to figure it out. thanks

Yeah It's a pretty neat set up. I plan on removing my cat's at some point just for fun. Also because it's one bolt to remove the band clamp. Maybe loosen another one of the pipes to wiggle it out. Super cool though. I've had an issue with my jet hot y-pipe hanging Dangerously low. Maybe it was my own installation error. But I don't know how to get it to sit higher. It was difficult configuring all of the y-pipe peices together without any sort of diagram or directions of any sort. The only other beef I've got with jet hot is their welding job in the actual y pipe. Take a look. Hope this helps.
