Default Thinking about tru-duals..

I have been contimplaiting running a tru duel system for a while, either rumbler system or I can have someone I know build a rumbler system for problably cheaper. I currently have a 3 inch magnaflow system,ORY, and a DMh cutout. I know it will be loud. Can i expect any powergains form this system? Even though I love the cutout i sometimes think it reduces my power quite a bit. I would also like to know what mufflers i should run to optimize power, bullets, spiroflows, ect? Thanks for your help. By the way I am 18, so yes I like loud, but maybe a step quieter than the cutout.

I run the Flow Pro twisters all the way out the back. It seems to be a powerful setup. Heads and cam with uploaded no dyno tuning tune I put down 421/379. Tuning would probably get me around 440/390. Yeah, it is gonna be loud.

Are you running that with the x-pipe? Just curious. I know a pretty good fabricator that can build me a pretty sick set up that resembles the rumbler system a little bit. Just trying to get a few options for mufflers.

by the way I listened to your clip, and that set up with that cam problably makes little kids **** their pants

The gains you will see will take the form of increased midrange tq. I picked up 20 lb/ft in the midrange when I switched from ypipe to duals, and others have had similar gains. It's because of the xpipe will scavenge like long tubes, and increase the midrange power under the curve.

Thank you for your comment, thats the info I was looking for. Now I just have to decide on a muffler. Have any of you heard of FLowbacks? They are out of Cali and are supposed to be pretty bad ***.

Was it really enough for you to be able to tell that you lost top end with the H setup?

I just put on a rumbler setup with the dynomax bullets, everybody said that it would be so much louder then my y pipe cutout flowmaster CB but to me it seems alot quieter then the old setup, not near as much noise inside the car but from what everyone else says it sounds way louder and just plain evil from the back of the car

I did notice a huge torque diff. from about 30 up it seems to pull so much harder.

yes.. seriosuly with the x at around 2800 - 3000 RPMs the car at WOT planted me in the back seat. you could really feel it pulling hard. And it is jsut oppoisite with the H. gaind a lot of low end tq.. i still have the x and might switch it out
