lost a header bolt..

Default lost a header bolt..

so i guess i lost a header bolt, can i just pick one of these up at the hardwear store? what size bolt is it? thanks

just go buy some stage 8 locking header bolts, there not goin anywhere whith those babys.

dont have the time or the money right now..its not that a header bolt fell off, i just finished a head/intake install, both headers are bolted up and im just missing one on my drivers side.. just need the size of the bolt so i can run to the store and buy it

im going to check out the local auto store, but there pretty weak.. and just in case i have to go to a hardwear store does anyone happen to know the dimensions of the bolt???

Take one of the header bolts to oreily's and they have a thing that sizes them. Thats what I did.

Take one to the hardware store and screw it into the nuts. Find which size it is, then pick a bolt the same length.

DONT GO TO THE HARDWARE STORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

.63 cents for a bolt, and they will have them in stock. IMO go and buy yourself a whole new set of GM bolts.

If you're going to do this, get a set of header bolts from an 06 Trailblazer SS, they have larger (14mm or 15mm) heads, and spread their load more evenly on the flange.
