Default Louder? Magnaflow or Hooker muffler

For a Trans am. I bought a magnaflow but I'm not sure if I like it. I just haven't found the exhaust I like yet. How does the hooker sound compared to the magnaflow?

The hooker is more mellow and refined compared to the MAgnaFlow IMO. It is also more quiet at idle and part throttle, but just as loud at WOT. For me, it is the best catback.

magnaflow is definitely louder than hooker, but hooker is definitely more refined

Im not a fan of the hooker, it just doesnt do it for me.. Kinda tame..

I dont like when i can hear the road noise or T/A "squeeks" over a muffler.. and the hooker is one you can do that with.. but then again, In California. That could be a good thing.

I had a Hooker once upon a time, and it was nice with how quiet it was cruising (almost stock quiet), but at the same time, it got kinda old. I just wanted my car to be louder. I'd definitely stick with the Magnaflow over the Hooker.

I am in the same predicament, still looking for the exhaust I want.

I went with the magnaflow, and I'm pretty satisfied.. it sounds plenty loud WOT and has a nice idle.

magnaflow is definately louder than hooker.. every clip I've heard.

Are hooker & magnaflow louder than corsa? I've only heard corsa in person and it was barely louder than stock. My definition of barely may be different than yours though because I consider my longtubes, no cats, and GMMG to be almost really loud. I may have the GMMG up for sale soon since I've had it for 5 years and want to be a little louder now!

IMO magnaflow is one of the better sounding exhausts..for the price it can't be beat. Spintech's sound great but cost a lot.

To give you an idea of how quiet the Hooker is, my buddy has LT's, ORY & Hooker and it is MUCH quieter at idle and cruise than my manifolds/cats/GMMG set-up. It has a good tone to it, though, and sounds great at WOT.
