I think it will - but otherwise you will have to use the threaded rod tool to be safe.

Ok so here is what I did...use this at your own caution. I couldnt get mine to start very much either and couldnt get the old balancer bolt to thread up at first. So, I put the pulley on as far as I could and placed a piece of metal across the face of it. I hit the piece of metal with a 5 lbs. sledge until it was on far enough on to put the bolt in and draw it up. Took about 2 minutes, worked like a charm.

oh yah dont worry to much about the 140 degrees, just use proper judgement and crank down the old bolt to 240 if you can, but 200ftlbs. should do, then go 37ftlbs with the new bolt and however many degrees you can get until it feels like its real tight.

When you heat it in the oven, make sure it is around 250-275 degrees. A little higher won't hurt it either. You are heating it to get it to expand just enough to slip it over the crank snout. Whatever you do, take your time and don't try to force anything. I would not reccomend hitting it with anything because the crank and bearings will be taking all of that force which they weren't meant to. (Think spun or FUBAR'd crank bearing here). Also, don't strip out the threads either, that is a messy fix as well.

If heating it to that temp doesn't work, buy the tool listed here:

https://ls1tech.com/forums/removed-locked-thread-graveyard/391883-new-crank-dampener-installation-tool-pics.html

It is designed to pull to press the pully on, placing most of the thrust on the washer and not the threads.

i had to heat my powerbond up to get that bitch on good. check the cam install at installuniversity.com for a good write up on it. TAKE YOUR TIME. you dont want to strip any crank threads.
