Arrow Convince my friend on what headers to get!

Okay, he's gunna be reading this so convince him. Tell him what you think is right!

He wants to get some headers and is dead set on SLP. He says "they claim to make the most horsepower". While I know they claim that, I told him at all LT headers yield about the same power. His car is lowered and I know SLP's hang. They are a good header, but they also have their problems. They won't be good on a daily driver, thats for sure!

I say get some Kook's or QTP's! Pacesetters at the very least if not the ebay ones that I have. He might be doing a custom exhaust if he goes ebay.

Let him buy the low hanging SLP headers and crush a tube when his lowered car bottoms out on a bump. Then you can tell him, "I told you so, you dumbass!"

He wants stainless steel, but I told him to get coated pace setters if money is a big concern.

I have a set of SLP's waiting to go on, but my car is not lowered. I like the QTP's with merge collectors, but found a great deal on the SLPs.

I don't care what headers you get...just spring for stainless and make that an up front cost. This is a mod I wouldn't cheap out on (personal preference). QTPs are nice, as are Kooks (I have the Kooks). You might even wait to see if LG Motorsports ever comes out with their longer primary headers for the F-body (they'd be expensive, but would be the best, hands down).

Why would that matter? It wouldn't matter if the headers were for your cat...I'd recommend stainless to your cat too. Now, if it was for your fish, I might recommend something different. I had a cross-drilled fish that died from outgassing earlier this year. True story.

A couple of sponsors are now carrying American Racing headers as well. The Vette crowd loves them.
