I liked my AMW but it still was not enough to stop oil from coming in through the intake. The catchcan would stop the oil but not the oil mist that would totaly coat the inside of my intake. I even mounted the catch can in the front of my car to try and cool the oil mist charge.I tried aluminum line PCV line's and all,..Still did not work. I finally ditched the whole PCV system all together and use breathers and now my intake is finally clean.

you can take off your lid and open up your Throttle Body up a bit- not have to take off- and take a long cotton swab and see if you can get any oil- black residue.
With oil in the intake it will mess with your tune a bit lower your power a bit.

The problem with the Metco breather that replaces the oil cap is , the rocker arm you see when you remove the oil cap will throw oil up and out of the breather at high rpms .
I have heard of ppl welding a plate on the under side of the valve cover to stop the splash effect caused by the rocker arm .
Then the oil cap breather would work just fine .
A breather can works better only because it will capture most of the oil carried in the vapor , allowing you to drain it later.
