Default Put on BorlaMouth today, results video

Well it was a nice day so i decided to put on my borla muffler in place of the resonator. The car is up on a trailer so it was easy to get under the car. Didn't take long to cut through the pipe with my sawz-all, and the muffler fit right over the pipe with the help of wd-40. The pipe to the front of the resonator curves down and the pipe behind is straight, so it took a little finesse with the lead hammer to get muffler on the angled pipe.

The muffler clears the driveshaft by only 3/16 of an inch, hopefully thats enough. Will have to get some extra piping welded when I get a thicker driveshaft.

Anyway, I'm pleased with the results. You can tell the difference when you stand behind the car, hopefully you guys will too from the vids. Let me know what you think. Before and after Borla muffler

Yeah the vids don't do it justice. I mean it's still loud, but not as much as before at idle. Got a bit deeper on the rev, and lost the rasp. In person you can tell right away.

Yeah, today was definitely a great day for a cruise. I love the cam, it's considered small, but I didn't lose any power in the low rpms and gained some up top. Unfortunately I'm still on stock heads, I'm buying a house for the summer so modding my car will have to wait a bit. I'm saving up for afr's, a bit pricey, but I spare no expense when it comes to my ride. I only put on 3000 miles in the past two years (currently 33K) so the car will still be here when I have some spare cash.

See that is what i was planning on doing is keeing the stock head with a Non P&P.. that is why i was wondering how is the 224/224... How is it the low to mid power with it?

the cams operating level is 3-7k, but I never felt like I was missing any power cruising at 2K. It kicks in nicely over 3K, but doesn't surge as if boost kicked in. You will like this cam because it feels like stock but has some power gains. Any bigger cam will have a few compromises. I would go for the speed inc cam package. I got a $350 discount for getting the cam, rods, springs and tune through them. Great place, but you probablY already know that. Here is my dyno graph:

almost 400 on stock Non P&P heads. not bad... i will need to look into the 224 more.

BTW what srpings, retainers and rods did you go with?

comp 918 springs, 7.4" chrom moly pushrods

all included in the cam package. This will give you an idea of what you're gonna spend on the cam

svo 30# injectors, they told me stock was enough, but I wasn't taking that chance. 7.4" is stock length for the pushrods and the chrom moly ones are much stronger. Comp 918's are great for what my cam is lifting at. Anything higher than say .600, you would want some 921's

Our injectors stock are 18# right? So again why the 30#??? Also did you upgrade your fuel/oil pump?

Ok 7.4" chromlly sound good. Strong is a PLUS and i think i found the right springs.. the comp 918s..

Thanks for the help
