I think it cost me $18 from Home Depot. Then I just got 2 fittings to screw in on both sides for 3/8 hose, used a foot of extra 3/8 fuel hose and plumbed it inline.

Those home depot one and the ones like it are made for high pressure air. What's the pressure of the air entering our catch cans? I would guess less than 1psi. I don't think the ones like the Husky one would do an efficient job at that low of a psi.

Thumbs up

I put on an amw piece a couple years ago when I put on an ls6 manifold, and noticed how much sludge and s**t was caked inside the factory manifold, and wanted a little protection for my $400 investment. At that time I paid $80 for the amw can, and thought that was plenty, and now they're $160?!?!?!? wtf? It is a great piece, however, I drive around 210 mi. round trip between my house and rock falls and empty the can as part of my pre-race prep, and consistently get an ounce or two of tannish colored oil-so no question its doing its job, the innards of the manifold are as clean as the day I bolted it on.

if anyone has doubts of the husky can working just look at my cardomain site (page 2). that was less than 500 miles (90% being highway cruising under 2000 rpm). since the most amount of oil is blown out under launching and higher rpm driving, if the car was driven rougher for 500 miles im sure the car would've been a lot more than half full.

my husky has oil in it, it definitely works...no denying that, and the AMW catch cans are extremely expensive, they are now double their original price last i checked, this is an issue of cosmetics, because i doubt one will work better than the other, but the AMW does look like it is supposed to be there...

TWISTEDTA I see the one hose going from the can to the front of the intake. Could you describe for me where the other on goes. I just got my catch can and I want to be sure I install it correctly. Thanks
