402/408 cars
402/408 cars what exhaust are most of you running? I have a crappy custom hpipe on mine and its too loud for street driving. I was thinking of going back to a standard ypipe/catback setup.

I'm thinking most of the guys with 402/408s aren't gonna care too much about loudness. I run a muffler off each header and that's it. It's loud, but i used to run open Y pipe, no muffler no cats.
I also ran a full exhaust and a hooker muffler with no cats on the 408 and that was just too quiet for me.

1 3/4 qtp with their ory and a hooker catback. only lost 6 hp over the cutout.the loss might be slightly more over true duals but a single 3 " catback can flow better than most people think.

Did any of you notice a change in exhaust volume or tone with the bigger motor? I noticed a big change in mine!
I had to get rid of the Corsa Indy cat back because it was way to loud with the new motor .
Soon as the high commpression came into play it became untolarable.
With the stock z06 exhaust it will get into the nines and still be quiet .
Not to mention the weight savings going from stainless steel to titanium .
