Issues with cat due to lowering with sportlines.
I have a stock (except Loudmouth) 95 LT1 and recent decided to lower my car with the sport lines, I believe it’s a 1.8 inch drop. So now I have about 3 inchs of ground clearance due to the cat and y pipe. Since the cat is the lower part of the car I came up with the idea of losing the cat with an off road y pipe, but I cant afford to get headers. I know it sounds cheap and not the smartest idea but its all I got at the moment. I guess what I asking is there any other things I can do because I really do not want to put the stock springs back on, any ideas will help.
Thanks

have you not signed your card? that is dangerous man. But back to topic, what did you expect when you lowered your car with sportlines? Everything scrapes when you are that low.
You could try to get underneath and pin up the exhaust as close as it will go. Other than that I would say just beware of wal-marts and malls.

I think I am going to just get a off road y pipe.
I should sign my card in fact, I will do it right now Thanks. But, does the aftermarket not make a Y pipe that improves ground clearance with cat or cats. If not will a 3 inch off road y pipe help? Will buying 18inch Z06 wheels help at all? I think I made a mistake on buying those sportlines. I wish I know more about all this.

Any suggestions on a different cat set up?
I don’t know of a different cat set up. Where I work at they have a dip you must hit it to enter the parking garage. I thought when I lowered my car I would still go over it, because an employee has a C5 ZO6 and he goes over it like nothing. I think I am being to picky.
